About Us
Little Shop of Gems has been operated by Wade and Sylvia Barrett since 1999. Sylvia takes care of all administrative duties and Wade is our designer.
Wade has over 20 years of retail and goldsmithing experience, having completed a 4 year working apprenticeship. Wade began carving wax and designing jewelry, with a family friend, when his passion for design became apparent at the early age of 15.
This team is complete with 3 active, beautiful children and when not working, are likely to be found taking in the Okanagan: Hiking, swimming in the many lakes, camping, and bike rides with the kids.
We truly enjoy providing you with the quality custom-made craftsmanship that you deserve!
We pride ourselves on being able to offer our clients a full spectrum of jewelry services, including custom jewelry design.
We are available to answer your questions and to guide you along the purchase of a one of our already made creations or a custom design - just for you.
